Cleansing your liver regularly for clear skin!

This week ill be chatting with you about all skin health through liver health. It's something we often hear about yet we don't often don't truly understand the depth. For me personally, this along with tallow has been a game changer in the appearance of my skin. I used to have chronic cystic acne. It started when I was 11 and right through until I was 28 and that was when I learnt the most about internal health and the correlation it has with skin health.
The liver is one of the most important organs in the body and plays a key role in keeping your skin healthy. When the liver is not functioning properly, toxins build up in the body, which can lead to a variety of skin issues such as acne, dark circles, wrinkles, and age spots. Liver cleansing helps to clear out these toxins and restore the liver's function, which in turn promotes clear and healthy skin.
Every day we through huge amounts of endocrine-disrupting chemicals into our bodies knowingly and unknowingly. These are from environmental factors which in a lot of cases we can't help, fuel bowsers, shopping receipts, hand sanitisers, hand washes, bathroom cleaners, hair spray, shampoos and so much more! All these products we use, once we touch them enter into our bodies and our liver has to process them to eliminate them. If you're like me and you're a sensitive soul to almost everything, then this can cause you to have skin issues from the hormones that become disrupted.
Then we have the liver disruptors like coffee or caffeine, alcohol and poor food choices. It only makes sense to regularly cleanse and look after our liver to promote glowing skin and of course longer life. Let us take a look at why we should cleanse.
 
Improved Digestion: By aiding in removing toxins from the body, a liver cleanse helps promote healthy digestion and nutrient absorption. This can lead to fewer digestive issues such as constipation or bloating.
Increased Energy Levels: When your body is free of harmful toxins it’s able to absorb more nutrients which leads to higher energy levels throughout the day.
Mental Clarity & Focus: Cleansing your liver removes waste materials that may cloud your brain function leading to clearer thinking and improved concentration skills.
Clearer Skin: The removal of toxins allows for clearer-looking skin without blemishes or discolouration due to clogged pores caused by impurities like bacteria or dirt buildup in the bloodstream.
For you to achieve optimal results with an effective cleansing of your internal organs including your liver, you must follow these steps thoroughly at home or with professional guidance if necessary :  
Adopt Healthy Eating Habits – Make sure you consume a higher fish diet, better fats, and foods such as fruits all while avoiding processed foods full of artificial preservatives/flavours/colouring agents etc., refined sugar products, fried foods, hydrogenated oils and seed oils!
Drink Plenty Of Water – Drinking plenty of water helps flush out any accumulated wastes within our bodies which facilitate faster elimination. Additionally, drinking warm lemon water every morning not only promotes hydration but also encourages the production of bile for better digestion.
 
So what's my secret weapon to a great liver cleanse?
Start by setting a time frame. 4 weeks at min 8 weeks at best. Remove all caffeine and alcohol and foods with preservatives, additives etc.
 
Each morning and night have 1 x dandelion tea
For my experience I used Advaclear. A supplement to help detox my liver. After 4 weeks I moved to milk thistle.
Drink 3L water a day or 2 large peppermint teas, 2 dandelion teas, 2 large glasses of water and 2 large bone broths/meat stocks and 2 ginger teas a day should get you there. Each meal has either pomegranate juice, celery juice or carrot juice. Only after a meal.
Eating good fish and steaks with loads of fresh fruit and salads through this time. Nothing fried nothing in a packet think Mediterranean. Lemon water is also a great addition.
The more of these liquids you can drink the better. They flush your liver. and remember, it is strictly no caffeine and no alcohol! You will feel worse before you feel better. You may notice dark circles under your eyes shift, maybe the little bumps on your skin smooth out or if you're like me, your skin starts to glow!
 
A cleanse 2-3 times a year is ideal. You can also work with great practitioners like Elyse Commerford or Holly from the woman series.
